Our Beliefs

WHAT DO WE BELIEVE?

THE HOLY SCRIPTURES

We believe the Holy Scriptures to be the inspired and infallible Word of God. They are revelation from God to man, the infallible rule of faith and conduct. [II Tim. 3:16; I Peter 2:2; 1Thess. 2:13]

THE GODHEAD

We believe there is only one living and true God, manifesting himself in the persons of the Holy Trinity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Phil. 2:6). We believe that Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Ghost and born of the virgin, Mary. We believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross and shed His blood as a sacrifice for our sins; He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Majesty on High. (John 1:1,14; Mat. 1:18; Luke 1:26-27; Luke 2:7; I Tim. 2:5.) We believe also in the resurrection, second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ to judge both the quick and the dead. We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to glorify Christ, to convict men of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and to empower the believer (Acts 1:11; 1Thes.4:16-17)

GOD’S RELATION TO MAN

We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God, however, fell into sin. (Gen. 1:26-31; Gen. 3:1-7; Rom. 5:12-21) We believe that man can be justified only by grace through personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. (Eph. 4:11-12; Rom. 3:24-28). Salvation is a gift from God to man, separate from works and the law, and is made operative by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, producing works acceptable to God (Eph. 2:8; Matt. 28:19; Mark 16:16; Acts 2:38)

THE HOLY SPIRT

We believe that the gifts of the Holy Spirit are given to every believer and need to be activated and exercised to fulfill their divine purpose of blessing the Body of Christ.  The Holy Spirit is sent to gift each believer with their own private prayer/praise language used to edify themselves, and that such a baptism empowers the believer to be effective for Christ [Acts 1:8; Acts 2:39; I Cor. 14:2; Jude 20; I Cor. 14:18; Acts 19:1-6).  We believe in the operation of the gifts of the Spirit, miracles, healings (we believe in divine healing of the body as part of the atoning work of Jesus Christ and is the privilege of every believers – Mark16:18; James 5:15; 1Peter 2:24; Matt. 8:17; Isa. 53:4-5), wisdom, knowledge, prophecy, tongues, interpretations of tongues, faith are for today, are in operation today, and are used for the edification of the church (1Corinthians 12:3-11).

SANCTIFICATION

The Bible teaches that without holiness no man can see the Lord. We believe in Doctrine of Sanctification as definite, yet progressive work of grace, commencing at the time of regeneration and continuing until the consummation of salvation (Heb. 12:14; 1Thess. 5:23; 2Peter 3:18; Phil. 3:12-14; 1Cor. 1:30),

FAITH AND WORKS

We believe that faith without works is dead. We believe as a matter of the fundamental beliefs and doctrines of the church, that nothing can be genuinely believed without there being an accompanying and corresponding action. Our faith is active and requires the doing of God’s kingdom works throughout the Earth (James 2:14-16; Eph. 2:8-10; Matt. 7:24-27; Matt. 5:16; 2Cor. 5:10; Matt. 16:27; Rev. 2:23; Rev. 22:12)

THE CHURCH

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ, a living body of believers in relationship and harmony under the direction of the head of the church Jesus Christ (1Cor. 6:15; 2Cor. 1:1; Romans12:4-5; Ephesians 4:11-16). The Church is an expression of community and fellowship with God in the Earth. We believe that Christ wants the members of His Church to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ into all the world. We believe that in all matters concerning the Body of Christ direction, discipline, functioning, instruction, revelation and discernment (truth/false) is available by the leading of the Holy Spirit who enables us to know spiritual things by the Spirit (Acts 13:1-3; 1Tim. 1:18; Rom. 8:14; 1Tim. 5:22; John 16”13-15; 1Cor. 5:3).

THE MINISTRIES OF CHRIST

We believe in the full function of the five-fold ministry which was given to perfect and equip the saints so they can enter the work of their ministry, thereby edifying the whole Body of Christ. We believe in the present-day ministries of the apostles and prophets, which Christ has set in the church as foundational and revelational ministries. We believe these two ministries will be restored to function in full power and authority before the literal second coming of Christ (Eph. 4:11-16; I Cor. 12:28] [Eph. 2:20; Acts 3:21).
